1.Our position
SPIRITX respects intellectual property rights. The SPIRITX releases board is intended for files that staff and rights-holders are permitted to share. If you believe content on the board infringes a copyright you own or control, follow the process below.
2.How to file a takedown notice
Open a ticket in the SPIRITX Discord with the subject “DMCA” and include:
- Clear identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (title, version, URL to the original where available).
- Clear identification of the material on the SPIRITX releases board that you claim infringes, including the release slug or URL.
- Your contact information (name under which you are acting, email, and any URL confirming your rights).
- The following statement: “I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material described above is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
- The following statement, signed under penalty of perjury: “The information in this notice is accurate, and I am the owner, or authorised to act on behalf of the owner, of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
- Your electronic or physical signature.
3.What we will do
Upon receiving a complete notice, SPIRITX will promptly review it and, in good faith, remove or disable access to the identified material pending resolution. We may also notify the user who posted the material.
4.Counter-notice
If you believe your material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice via the SPIRITX Discord including:
- Identification of the removed material and its original location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information and electronic or physical signature.
5.Repeat infringers
Accounts determined, in SPIRITX’s reasonable judgement, to be repeat infringers will be terminated and permanently banned from the SPIRITX Discord. SPIRITX may also pursue any additional remedy available at law.
6.Misuse
Knowingly submitting a materially false DMCA notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability. Submit in good faith only.
